As a part-time Security Officer in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, staying visible to help deter potential security-related incidents, and responding to situations with professionalism and a customer-focused approach. You will also be expected to interact positively with people on site, providing clear communication and assistance as needed. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $17.60 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Sat : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sun : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal and / or site management.
  • Follow all post orders, protocols, and instructions provided by Allied Universal and / or site management.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and interacting with visitors and tenants as needed.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
