As a Security Officer - School Patrol in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols across campus grounds, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding to situations with professionalism and care. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $18.40 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and identifying potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and / or client representatives.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Assist with crowd management and help to maintain order during events or peak times at the location.
  • Document security-related incidents and complete required reports promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
