Responsibilities
- Develop and promote a team environment of cooperation.
- Supervise overall cleanliness of the site, including proper biosecurity, maintenance and upkeep inside and outside of facility.
- Evaluate, discipline, and terminate employees in partnership with HR / Supervisor.
- Assist with hiring (referrals, farm tours, etc.).
- Plan and oversee feed usage.
- Supply ordering and cost control.
- Monitor all nutrient storage facilities and report issues immediately.
- Monitor the environment and the environmental (ventilation) controls in the facility.
- Maintain accurate records using ISF protocols to complete necessary forms and electronic data.
- Ensure all mortality are removed from facilities according to ISF protocols.
- Ensure all animals transported off-site are fit for transport, meet minimum withdrawal requirements, and are moved according ISF protocols.
- Order and dispense medications and vaccinations according to ISF protocols.
- Care and management of animals to ensure proper feeding, water availability, daily observation and treatment of sick animals.
- Follow proper steps for timely euthanasia and identify when it is needed.
- Care and management of facilities to ensure equipment is working, ventilation is proper, and cleaning / disinfection is performed.
- Promote and demonstrate safe animal handling practices.
- Receive, sort, and pen incoming pigs; oversee loading and unloading activities.
- Provide feedback to Multiplication managers, Supervisor or Senior Management; communicate production, employee and site issues to the supervisor.
- Use computer systems to run reports, data entry, email, and ISF Tools site.
- Understand and troubleshoot alarm systems and respond to notifications.
- Data entry for Multiplication nursery and / or grower site (vaccinations, treatments, mortality, work tickets, feed orders, environmental services).
- Understand company production and incentive packages and motivate employees to achieve results.
- Ensure employees work safely and use PPE; maintain training compliance.
- Keep farm, work schedules, paperwork and people organized; strive for consistent results.
- Provide unified leadership with the supervisor and resolve conflicts promptly to maintain morale.
- Act with appropriate departments when policy violations are identified; document actions timely using MEP tools.
- Audits drive key responsibilities and influence incentive bonus payouts.
Qualifications and Experience
At least one year of previous experience in swine production operations is desired.Company Expectations

Position is performed indoors; some tasks may occur in outdoor conditions.Noise can be loud; exposure to fumes / airborne particles and moving parts may occur.Environment may have nuisance levels of gases and dust, especially in winter.Physicality Requirements
Stand, walk, sit; use hands; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and assist with mortality up to 300 lbs with farm tools.Ability to climb over gates up to 48 inches.Position Type / Hours
Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week.Day-shift hours Monday–Friday; occasional evenings and weekends as needed.Weekend and holiday rotations; additional availability during staffing challenges.Travel
No travel is expected for this position.Education, Experience and Other Qualifications
