Accounting Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting and finance functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. The role involves managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement reporting. You will be a key contributor to the General Ledger and Cost activities, supervise functions related to accounts receivable and payable, and direct the processing of various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting and finance functions, including monthly / quarterly / year-end close, journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement reporting.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the General Ledger and Cost activities.
- Direct the processing of monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, revenue recognition, fixed asset depreciation, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
- Conduct general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals, leases, and prepaid expenses.
- Perform cost accounting projects and reporting related to construction projects and work in process (WIP).
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for budget performance, project performance, variance analysis, and other FP&A related duties.
- Administer ESOP and 401k with the Human Resources Supervisor.
- Design and enforce Sarbanes-Oxley and accounting controls with the CFO.
- Support annual budgeting and planning processes.
- Manage tax compliance and filings.
- Prepare Board reporting and analysis with the CFO.
- Provide payroll support, including updating project and cost codes.
- Calculate and report commissions monthly.
- Complete weekly audits and process company credit card expense reports and payments.
- Maintain and support the accounting system, serving as the Acumatica subject matter expert.
- Assist in daily cash management reporting and tracking.
- Maintain fleet and DMV licensing.
- Support internal and external customer inquiries related to accounts receivable and payable.
- Formulate, analyze, and execute new accounting procedures and processes.
- Prepare and report sales tax returns and compliance.
- Assist in annual insurance renewals, financial audits, ESOP valuation, and tax preparation.
- Review and approve credit applications and re-sale certificates for vendor setup.
- Perform other tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by the CFO.
Essential Skills
5-7 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or similar role.Bachelor's degree required.CPA license or eligible candidate preferred.Experience with ERP Accounting systems.Strong MS Office skills, particularly intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel.Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements, including ASC 606 and 842.Solid understanding of accounting processes such as A / R, A / P, and General Ledger.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain best in class practices with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines accurately and consistently in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $160000.00 / yr.
