Co-Host / Producer for our weekday lifestyle show, My Carolina.

My Carolina showcases local food, fun and fashion. Interviewing and putting the spotlight on local businesses, music, entertainment, non-profits. The show is pre-produced and tries to emphasize all the things that make the Raleigh / Durham area

a great place to live, work and go to school.

Come join our awesome team, we just need you to bring your creativity and passion for telling great local stories. We’re looking for a collaborative partner who wants the chance to help grow My Carolina and their own career.

You’ll work closely with the show Producer and Co-Host, writing stories, show segments, interviewing guests / clients both in the studio and on location. Collecting information, video, or photos at remote locations for post-production. Greeting and assisting guests during show preparations.

Your primary responsibilities will be hosting, writing, editing, and researching along with some segment producing and being able to act as an occasional fill-in producer for the show.

You’ll be one of the faces of the only lifestyle show in Raleigh and participate in station and community events to help grow the show. You’ll also help maintain the shows social media account and assist with all online content.

Duties Include :

• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to actively work with all departments (Sales, Creative Services, News, Production, Programming) at the station.
• Have a strong on-air presence, the ability to interview guests in a relaxed style while also bringing high energy to studio or on location pieces.
• Writing and editing stories and in studio pieces.
• Help find local engaging stories, research, develop questions for interviews and coordinate content.
• Knowledge of current events, pop culture, and compelling subjects.
• Helpful to know how to shoot video, not necessarily needed daily but a good skill to possess.
• The ability to edit with Adobe Premiere is extremely helpful.
• Working with show Producer and Co-Host daily to coordinate content and book guests.
• Be comfortable working out in the field doing stories with our production team and the ability to pivot to in studio working with our operations team.
• Openness and flexibility to adapt to situations quickly, great with giving and taking feedback.
• Work with the Sales department on a regular basis to help ensure a positive experience for clients.
• Ability to deliver pre-produced stories and shows on time and on brand.
• Social media knowledge and ability to post regularly for the show.
• Ability to post to the website for the show.
• Other duties as assigned by the show’s Producer and Creative Services Director.
