Chestnut Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

Support medical staff members. Help with admissions. Schedule, greet, and room patients. Gather health and hospital histories. Record information in electronic medical record. Help with medical exams. Take and document vital signs. Gather specimens. Provide health education and teaching to patients and families. Help patients and families to complete paperwork. Prepare communication materials. Drive mobile medical unit as requested.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of MA training program. Current CMA or CMOA certification. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record. Valid drivers license, private auto insurance, and ability to be insured.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $18.00 - $20.50 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
