Description
As the International Tax Senior Associate a national business line role youll be responsible for the review and delivery of U.S. international tax services for clients across various industries and market segments. Youll collaborate closely with managers associates and other teammates from around the globe to help clients identify and solve complex business problems through deploying a wide range of Grant Thornton solutions in a collaborative manner ensuring quality above all because together is how we succeed.
Your day-to-day may include :
- Providing international tax services that provide measurable value and advising clients from a range of different industries on international tax matters
- Supervising training and mentoring associates and interns on international tax projects and assessing performance of associates for engagement reviews; performing in-charge role as needed
- Reviewing complex business returns with international complexities and making recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing responsibility in the review process
- Researching and analyzing international and domestic tax issues; utilizing tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters
- Writing and reviewing tax advice for clients
- Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Accounting requiredMinimum two years experience of progressive tax consulting preferably with at least one year focused on international taxationExperience with a large accounting firm law firm or corporate tax department of a multinational companyCPA or JD / active law license requiredAdvanced analytical technical and tax accounting / technology skills with proficiency in U.S. tax compliance and consultingAbility to supervise staff and lead projectsExceptional client service skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsComputer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technologyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCan travel as neededThe base salary range for this position in Cleveland OH is between $88000 - $132000.
