Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to serve as a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for an outpatient pharmacy setting. This role requires leadership capabilities and management experience, ideally suited for a local candidate who can provide hands-on guidance in a hospital retail environment.

Key Responsibilities :
Direct and supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with policies and quality standards.Lead prescription processing, with a focus on timely handling and adherence to controlled substance regulations.Provide patient counseling with up-to-date medication knowledge.Mentor and develop pharmacy staff to meet performance and professional growth goals.Manage inventory and purchasing to optimize cost and availability of pharmaceuticals.Utilize computer-based dispensing and information systems efficiently.Generate operational reports and recommend improvements.Participate in staff training, orientation, and quality assurance initiatives.Maintain and enhance skills through continuous education.Qualifications and Desired Experience :
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution; PharmD and 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred.At least five years of professional pharmacy experience, including two years in a management or leadership role; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.Active and unrestricted pharmacist license; Arizona licensure preferred.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 to 90 days of hire.Licensed or eligible to administer immunizations and emergency medications is preferred.Strong leadership qualities with the ability to be a team fit, focusing on patient care and efficient prescription processing.Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and locations as needed.This contract role is ideal for pharmacists who want to lead pharmacy operations in a dynamic, patient-centered environment with flexible scheduling options.
