About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : OR

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday - Friday

Hours per Shift : 6 : 45 AM - 3 : 15 PM

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience

License : Must have TN RN or multi-state RN license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be the American Heart Association)

Must-Have : Knowledge of general surgery, orthopedic, OB, GYN, and endoscopy; experience with C-sections; circulator experience

Description :

Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patients and / or families and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Call coverage is required during the week and on weekends.
