Forklift Operator in Nashville, TN

Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced fabrication shop where your hands-on skills help build the backbone of major mechanical systems. We're looking for a reliable, safety-conscious forklift operator to assist in daily shop operations and support the fabrication of mechanical components used in large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up forklifts to move inventory in narrow-aisle racking systems
• Pick and pack inventory accurately for order fulfillment and restocking
• Secure pallets using shrink-wrap machines and prepare shipments for delivery
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of materials
• Perform quality checks and maintain documentation of product accuracy
• Lift, carry, and stack boxes and materials weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
• Support general warehouse operations and assist team members as needed

Work Environment

Work in a fabrication shop located in Nashville, about 2 miles south of downtown. The role operates from 6 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday. Steel toe boots are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
