Job Description

We are seeking skilled workers for the position of ‘Construction Worker 1’ to join our team at the Stibnite Mine Development Project in central Idaho. Construction Worker 1 is a general title for workers with the highest skill level across various trades, including, but not limited to, carpentry, concrete construction, iron work, pipe fitting, HDPE pipe fusion, crane operation, underground mining, and more. The role is intended for workers who may be required to perform multiple or diverse tasks not covered by specific job titles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multiple trades and the flexibility to handle various onsite responsibilities as needed. This is an on-site position following the 19 / 9 shift rotation, and the Construction Worker 1 will report directly to the Project Foreman.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-level tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, concrete work, iron work, pipe fitting, HDPE pipe fusion, crane operation, underground mining, and other specialized activities as required.
• Adapt to unique or unspecified roles to support project needs, ensuring seamless integration into various work crews.
• Assist with construction and mining tasks, including building structures, pouring concrete, welding or fabricating metal, installing piping systems, operating heavy machinery, and conducting underground operations.
• In addition to primary duties, the employee may need to operate various types of equipment or perform tasks from different trades to support project needs.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on tools and equipment across multiple disciplines.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.
• Keep a clean and organized work area, including proper tool storage, site layout, daily cleaning of equipment, and maintenance of work zones.

This position is located at the Stibnite Mine Development Project in central Idaho, a remote area. Employees will stay in a camp at the project site during their shifts. The schedule is 19 days on and 9 days off, with two of the 19 days counted as paid travel days. The company will provide transportation to and from the site for both on- and off-shift rotations. Meals will be served at a catered cafeteria at the camp, and employees will have access to showers and laundry services.

Safety and Compliance

The Stibnite Mine Development Project operates under the oversight of both OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration). Specifically, the multi-trade operations are governed by MSHA regulations, requiring Construction Worker 1 to possess MSHA-experienced miner training. All employees will undergo comprehensive training to obtain the necessary certifications tailored to their roles, work locations, and tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or handle items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities needed for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must work outdoors around large, noisy, and heavy equipment in extreme weather conditions, including summer heat and rain, as well as sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall.
