The Retail Department Manager is responsible for growing department sales to achieve the store sales plan. Responsibilities include merchandising, customer service, and store maintenance. Primary responsibilities include greeting and acknowledging every customer, being knowledgeable of all products, promotions, and advertisements, assisting with receiving the truck and pricing items, ensuring that all products within the department are merchandised and recovered per visual merchandise standards, communicating customer needs to Team Leaders, assisting with training new associates, operating the register accurately and efficiently, and maintaining the cleanliness of the overall store.

Qualifications include a minimum of six months of retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business, the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis, and a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
