Summary
The Senior Cloud Applications Engineer is responsible for full stack engineering and the support and optimization of cloud infrastructure within the Kraus-Anderson ecosystem. Playing a key role in the company's cloud migration, maintaining cloud operations, and leading the continued development and support of cloud-based applications, including the custom KA Portal. This is a hands-on, collaborative role that combines technical leadership and coding to advance digital modernization and enhance scalable, secure cloud architecture in partnership with Network, Product, and Data teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Cloud Infrastructure & Migration
Lead and support the migration from on-prem infrastructure to Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based environment.Design and deliver scalable cloud architecture solutions using Microsoft 365 and Azure.Oversee expansion and optimization of Intune and Microsoft Entra for device management.Support migration from Citrix and ensure security and stability in the new environment.Manage and maintain data synchronization between AutoDesk, SharePoint, and Azure.Partner with network and security teams to implement physical passkeys and maintain robust security standards.Create strategic and tactical recommendations for ongoing improvement of cloud ecosystems.Software Engineering & Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain applications and software solutions that support business operations and client engagement.Contribute to continued buildout of the KA Portal, with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.Develop custom SharePoint solutions and dashboards to deliver client-facing features.Maintain and enhance the existing data sync between key systems.Create API integrations to connect 3rd-party tools.Collaborate with QA and business stakeholders to test, deploy, and support new features.Mentor junior engineers to strengthen the team's software development capabilities.Security
Collaborate with the Network and Security Manager to uphold and evolve cloud security.Review and report on IT security posture and identified risks.Demonstrate understanding of secure cloud networking principles.Collaboration & Communication
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, functional business language.Document cloud infrastructure, migration processes, and development deliverables into reusable artifacts.Work effectively in a small team environment with multiple concurrent projects.Take ownership of tasks, ask insightful questions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.Data
Collaborate with Data team to build data lake and surface data into applications and dashboard.Deliver solutions that leverage multiple systems using both API integrations and tables.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

There will be occasional travel to our data centers, field offices and construction sites for network and server infrastructure changes.Physical Demands :

For Field / Jobsite Requirements :
Frequently sits, stands and talks.Occasionally lifts and / or moves up to 50 pounds.Vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Must work on ladders at Data Center server racks, server rooms and offices as necessary to service server and network components.Ability to maneuver on ladders and scaffolding, walk through sand or mud, climb on and around vehicles and construction equipment at construction sites.Salary Range : $120,000 to $145,000 annually, plus discretionary incentive program.
Pay is based on many factors including but not limited to education, skill, experience, training, certifications, and other business needs.
