Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable/Accounting Clerk performs general Accounting work including, but not limited to, data entry and record maintenance related to Accounts Payable and General Accounting.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll do:

• Accounts Payable data entry, three-way matching, statement review and record maintenance
• Weekly check run processing
• Credit card reconciliations, expense reports, return-to-vendor and credit memo tracking and coding
• Maintain manual PO records
• Assist with month end close processes
• Use of PC & office equipment
• Maintain other accounting records, files and reports
• Email and phone communication with suppliers

OTHER DUTIES

• Produce special reports using Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

• Strong flexibility, able to multi-task and change directions
• Excel proficient; working knowledge of computer software – PC based accounting program experience
• Detail orientation, accuracy and thoroughness required
• Excellent internal and external communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write and communicate English
• Ability to understand and adhere to all Vanguard’s policies, processes and workplace guidelines
• Very organized with excellent time management skills

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Accounts Payable
• Other accounting and general office experience considered
