The Information Processing Assistant supports the collection, entry, verification, and processing of district data and information systems. This position ensures timely and accurate data management to support student services, instructional programs, business operations, and state reporting requirements.
The Information Processing Assistant works collaboratively with school site personnel, district departments, and the technology team to maintain data integrity and ensure efficient information flow throughout the district.
Data Entry & Processing
Enter, update, and maintain student and staff information in district databases and information systems.
Process enrollment, attendance, scheduling, assessment, payroll, or other district data as assigned.
Verify accuracy of submitted information and resolve discrepancies.
Perform routine data audits to ensure integrity and compliance.
System Support
Assist with user account setup, access permissions, and basic troubleshooting.
Support system updates, testing, and implementation of new processes.
Maintain procedural documentation related to data processing tasks.
Reporting & Compliance
Generate standard and ad hoc reports for administrators and departments.
Assist in preparing data for state and federal reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with FERPA and district data privacy policies.
Customer Service & Collaboration
Provide guidance to staff regarding data entry procedures and system use.
Respond to inquiries related to database records and information processing.
Collaborate with the Technology Department to improve system efficiency and workflows.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in data entry, clerical support, or information systems preferred.
Experience in a K–12 educational setting is desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
