Role : Security Officer (Unarmed)

Location : Aspen / Pitkin County Airport

Shifts : 7 Days Per Week - Either 0700 to 1500 OR 1500 to 2300

Schedule : Full-Time

Pay : $32.50 / HR

Requirements :

Reliable transportation

Ability to pass criminal background and additional airport security background screenings

Must have post certification law enforcement and have gone through the academy

We are seeking Security Officers for an airport in Aspen, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of airline staff, airport staff, TSA personnel, and travelers by enforcing security procedures and managing potentially high-risk situations. You'll work closely with team members to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the safety of all personnel and patrons. Ideal candidates will have certifications such as a baton permit, pepper spray permit, and CPR certification, though these are not required. The ability to collaborate effectively and thoroughly document incidents is essential for this position.

Job Functions

• Security Presence & Defense : Serve as the first line of defense for clients and sites
• Hazard Awareness : Identify and address safety concerns
• Risk Assessment : Conduct ongoing risk evaluations
• Access Control : Manage access to restricted areas and information
• Guidance : Direct and assist patrons, visitors, and staff.
• Customer Service : Deliver positive interactions with a pleasant and helpful demeanor
• Collaboration : Work with local law enforcement and other security personnel to maintain highest safety standards
• Incident Response : Respond to client security concerns and reports of incidents as they come through the dispatch line
• Incident Documentation : Record and report all security and safety incidents and concerns
