Certified Medical Assistant II (Back Office) Hybrid Opportunity!!

Term : Long term temporary, Temp-To-Hire

Location : Home office- Montebello (Hybrid) primarily off-site covering clinics through out LA and OC

Schedule : M-F 8 / 5

Pay Range : $25HR -$27HR BOE

The IPA Medical Assistant (CMA) will assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures alongside technical and clerical support services within the IPA clinical setting. They will perform this role by building relationships with IPA back office and front office teams, listening to them, and supporting their clinical needs. They will demonstrate compassion and respect and will be proactive in managing patient, staff, and provider expectations. In addition, the IPA MA will assist with informing best practice in front office administrative responsibilities alongside back office support and training to IPA providers and staff. They will also assist in achieving shared department goals and objectives as an MA team leader and trainer.

Qualification Required!

  • Medical Assistant certificate along with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • A minimum of 2 years working in a "IPA" environment
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a back office Medical Assistant required; 3 years preferred. Prior experience as a Lead MA strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish is required.
  • Proficent in MS Office, Excel and Outlook

Essential Duites

  • Assist with supplemental data submission on Cozeva and obtaining data through various portals and provider offices.
  • Help with Health Plan audits by collecting requested charts from IPA practices
  • Assist with quality compliance efforts with HEDIS measures, Initial Health Appointments (IHA) Annual Wellness Visits (AWV / MHA).
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality gaps.
  • Assist with outreach to IPA members for coordination of PCP and specialty appointments.
  • Help IPA Network Operations Department with various monthly and quarterly quality initiatives.
