Job description

Kett Engineering is accepting applications and pre-qualifying candidates to be test drivers for

  • 1st, 2nd and weekend shifts.
  • This program is working with our customer in a research and development program in
  • Brimley, MI.

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

The Test Driver follows the direction of Lead Driver and / or Project Coordinator, performs various driving services on vehicles per shift according to customers specifications. and represents Kett Engineering in a professional manner.

  • Pay rate : $16.00 / hr.
  • Monday - Friday
  • 1st shift : 4 : 00 am - 12 : 30 pm
  • 2nd shift : 4 : 00 pm - 12 : 30 am
  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 7 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm

    • Essential Functions :

  • Demonstrate ability to drive all schedules certified on, with complete schedule integrity and does so on a consistent basis
  • Prepare accurate driver reports and other records on a daily basis, document observations in a clear and concise manner
  • Perform related driving / vehicle prep work as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

  • Responsibilities involve a definite degree of skill, accuracy and cooperation.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Kett and customer policies and procedures and Ketts Vision and Values.
  • Ability to complete concise and accurate documentation.
  • Promote safety awareness and assure compliance with all safety practices.
  • Communication skills, verbal and written, are a priority.

    • Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 5 years. Have no points, no major traffic citations, and / or accidents for the past three years.
  • No alcohol or substance related violations within the last 10 years.
  • Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time.
  • Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.
  • Follow directions and execute tasks. Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
  • Complete required trainings.
  • Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment. xqrzhdi

    Pay : $16.00 per hour

    Schedule :

  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekends only
