HR Generalist

HR Generalist Position

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, and performance management to support organizational goals effectively. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations while maintaining adherence to labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and effective responses to employee inquiries related to company policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
• Develop, update, and maintain employee handbooks to ensure compliance with current regulations and organizational standards.
• Address employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
• Coordinate the preparation and execution of separation and release agreements.
• Ensure salary requirements align with company and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate training and development programs, including DiSC assessments.
• Oversee web-based performance management systems to track and improve employee performance.
• Conduct audits of background checks, billing processes, and I-9 expirations.
• Administer workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Manage labor law poster updates and quarterly audits to maintain compliance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with web-based HR systems and performance management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to address employee concerns effectively.
• Ability to conduct audits and manage compliance-related processes.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Proficiency in managing training programs and employee development initiatives.
