Salary :
Retroaim is seeking a proactive and resourceful Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our recruiting efforts. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for skilled trade positions such as asbestos / demolition supervisors, concrete operators, drivers, foreman, insulators, general laborers, and operational roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the trades industry, excellent networking skills, and a passion for connecting top talent with the right opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job specifications.
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies for skilled trade roles.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, trade schools, career fairs, and industry networks.
- Screen resumes and conducts interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws throughout the hiring process.
- Build relationships with trade schools, unions, and industry associations.
- Track and report recruiting metrics and KPIs.
Qualifications :
Proven experience recruiting for skilled trades or similar roles.1-3 years of experience of recruiting within an agency or an internal company.Strong knowledge of skilled trades job functions and industry terminology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize effectively.Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems HRIS and recruiting tools such as Indeed, Monster, Zip Recruiter, LinkedIn, and potentially an ATS system.Previous experience working in other markets besides the Hampton Roads.High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelors degree in HR or related field preferred.Preferred Skills :
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.Knowledge of labor market trends and workforce development programs.
