About The Role :

As a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician , you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of construction materials through lab-based testing. You'll work independently and collaboratively to produce accurate results that directly impact project success and client satisfaction.

Testing and Reporting : Conduct soil, concrete, masonry, and / or asphalt testing in the lab and report results with minimal supervision.

Equipment : Maintain and calibrate laboratory testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Coordination of Others : May assign work to junior lab staff on small to medium projects and provide preliminary review of their testing results.

About You :

You have a High School diploma or GED (vocational training a plus).

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory.

You have three (3) or more active certifications, such as :

ACI : Field Testing Grade I, Strength Testing Technician, Laboratory Technician

ICC : Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)

You have strong math skills and a solid understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.

You have effective communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking in English).

You Are Willing and Able to :

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as :

Working in the office / laboratory most of the time, with occasional fieldwork in varying weather conditions

Walking on hard flooring and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day

Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of field / laboratory samples and equipment

Safely maneuvering lab tools and occasionally field equipment on active construction sites
