Staff Accountant

  • Reports directly to the controller who is AWESOME - not a micromanager, very laid back and looking for their right-hand person.
  • Ability to take on different projects related to fixed assets, audits, etc.
  • Small team with an "all hands-on deck" mentality, but primary focus will be more accounting and ops focused to assist the controller. MUST be OK with handling AR / AP if they ever need to.
  • Internal growth opportunities - path to grow into Sr Acct, Acct manager, etc.
  • Gorgeous office space - very modern with their manufacturing facility onsite.

Responsibilities of Staff Accountant :

  • Support the controller and accounting team with daily activities.
  • Responsible for performing various accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Prepare and post journal entries; maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Assist with monthly close and financial reporting
  • Reconcile and review balance sheet accounts
  • Support accounts payable / receivable and invoice processing
  • Review and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Monitor and analyze expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Help with payroll processing and reconcile payroll sub-ledgers as needed
  • Analyze financial results; recommend cost-saving or process improvements
  • Document accounting policies and procedures; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legislative requirements
  • Availability for after-hours work as needed for month end processing
  • Other Duties as assigned

    • Qualifications of Staff Accountant :

  • BS in Accounting required and 2-4 year's experience.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • NetSuite ERP experience a plus
  • Concur expense management experience a plus
