JOB SUMMARY : To develop a service presence in our existing Columbus office by securing new service projects and renewable service contracts with commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. This individual will be supported out of our corporate office and will grow into a self-sufficient branch office with supervisory responsibility as this individual secures new service work and creates the need for additional Associates.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Generate new client accounts within commercial, industrial, K-12, higher education, institutional and government markets.
- Negotiate and close renewable HVAC, IFS and electrical service contracts and project agreements. Provide pay-back analysis when appropriate.
- Creating need with customers through the value-add sale of energy efficient capital or operational improvements to their mechanical and electrical systems.
- Write proposals and make presentations to one person or a group of people.
- Estimate and design mechanical system retrofit or replacement projects.
- Plan and effectively manage time and projects sold to maximize productivity.
- Coordinate installation of project with operations resources.
- Participate in industry affinity groups, like BOMA, ASHRAE, AEE, etc.
- Jointly develop a personal development plan to continue individual growth and enrich the job experience

SALES RESPONSIBILITIES :
Execute the sales process. Prospect, qualify, survey, verify, propose, close, manage relationshipTypical sales quota is $1,500,000 in weighted sales.Coordinate with operations resources and manage opportunities to meet gross profit goals.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
TBDQUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside salesMinimum of 10 years of experience with HVAC retrofit projects, as a sales rep, project manager, estimator, service manager or technicianBachelor of Science degree in business or engineering is preferredFamiliarity with the Central Ohio marketplaceKnowledge of Microsoft Office software programsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Strong communication skills (oral and written); must be able to effectively relay information to various audience groups, including, but not customers and perspective customers, managers, leadership, colleagues, and business associates
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with individuals internal and external to the company and from various backgroundsStrong organization skills with the ability to self-motivate and prioritize tasks; must be able to effectively manage own schedule with limited oversightMust be able to prepare professional written communications (emails, documents, etc.)Must demonstrate professionalism and tact in all interactionsGood presentation and group facilitation skillsDemonstration of time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesGood analytical skills; ability to analyze data and relay trends and potential outcomes; ability to evaluate problems and identify resolutions; good negotiation skillsProficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDFAbility to maintain satisfactory attendanceWORKING CONDITIONS :
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires regular travel by car to perform the required functions. Travel by airplane may be occasionally required.
Must be able to drive and travel to various locations, local, regionally, and outside of Ohio.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb stairs; talk or hear.
