Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Director of Radiology and working in conjunction with the Chairman, the Assistant Director is responsible for the management of programs and operations in Radiology. Maintains oversight for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Diagnostic radiology, Interventional Radiology and Transport and Lift Team. Engages in strategic planning to ensure state of the art technology; develops standards and testing procedures that meet the needs of patients and physicians; oversees quality services including quality assurance and performance improvement in all areas of responsibility; and evaluates and implements processes to maximize utilization of resources with attention to controlling costs and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Assists the Chairman and Administrator as a representative and spokesperson for departmental activities both internally and with outside agencies. Ensures that management activities are in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies established by the University and Medical Center.

Required Qualifications :

• Strong organization and project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to plan strategically
• Must possess working knowledge of budget, billing, and basic cost accounting function, and Human Resource issues, principles, and concepts
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must be familiar with all technical aspects of Radiological Sciences (Diagnostic, CT, Nuclear Med., Ultrasound, Mammography, MRI, Vascular and Interventional Procedures)
• Minimum 5 years experience in supervision / management of a large comprehensive Imaging department.
• Experience working in a UC and / or union environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, as well as internal and external stakeholders at all level across the health system
• Ability to develop a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change
