Your Impact

As a Finance Intern at Lowe’s, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting financial decisions that influence the success of a FORTUNE® 100 retailer. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you’ll help analyze business performance, track financial metrics, and support forecasting and budgeting efforts. This internship is a launchpad for students who want to understand how finance powers enterprise-level decisions and contributes to organizational growth. Summer Internship Program

Whether you're starting your professional journey or pivoting to a new field, Lowe's offers the resources and opportunities you need to thrive. Our 10-week summer internship program (May 26th – July 31st) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

Do Your Best Work in Mooresville

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

Core financial planning and analysis (FP&A) skills, including variance analysis and forecasting.

How to track performance across business units using reporting and dashboard tools.

Basic budgeting processes and how finance supports strategic business initiatives.

How to interpret financial statements and key performance metrics.

Techniques for working cross-functionally with finance, merchandising, supply chain, and other teams.

Exposure to financial systems (such as SAP) and Microsoft Excel for analysis and modeling.

Minimum Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.

Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills / Experience

3.0 cumulative GPA.

Proficient in MS Office programs (specifically in Power Point, Excel and data analysis tools).

Strong interpersonal, collaboration, problem solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Relevant internship and / or experience in finance or accounting is a plus.

Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
