The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is a working supervisor responsible for overseeing daily operations within the revenue cycle department while actively managing account receivables alongside the team. This role provides hands-on leadership to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments, resolution of outstanding claims, and achievement of departmental performance goals. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, self-starter, and effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in daily operations related to accounts receivable (A / R), payment posting, and claim follow-up.
- Work assigned A / R accounts to reduce aging and improve cash flow.
- Train, coach, and support team members to ensure compliance with billing and payer requirements.
- Review denied or underpaid claims and collaborate with staff to develop corrective action plans.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in A / R, clean claim rate, and denial trends.
- Conduct regular quality audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness of posting and follow-up activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the revenue cycle team and other departments to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reports to track productivity, collections, and A / R aging trends.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement workflow improvements.
- Support month-end close processes, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with special projects, payer audits, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills Education & Experience :
Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred;Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, required.Hands-on experience with accounts receivable management and payment posting is required.Strong understanding of payer reimbursement methodologies, claim life cycle, and denial management.Skills & Abilities :
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data validation).Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Proven ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.High attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.Network Requirements
