Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Engineer / Solution Architect for a long-term opportunity in Deerfield, IL. This role is ideal for an experienced technology leader with strong architectural expertise , deep hands-on development skills , and proficiency in DevOps and cloud environments , particularly Microsoft Azure .

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with CVS Health systems and a proven track record of designing and delivering scalable full stack solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop scalable, secure, full stack solutions using Java (backend), Angular (frontend), and Azure (cloud) .

Lead technical design sessions and contribute hands-on to code development and review.

Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices across the development lifecycle.

Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for source control, build / release pipelines, and agile tracking.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, QA, infrastructure, and operations.

Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ensure best practices in performance, security, and scalability.

Required Qualifications

15+ years of overall IT experience, including architectural leadership.

10+ years of experience in Java backend development .

Strong proficiency in Angular for frontend development.

7+ years of experience implementing CI / CD pipelines and DevOps automation.

9+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) .

Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Proven ability to design and deliver full stack enterprise applications.

Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

CVS Health background and familiarity with CVS Pharmacy systems is mandatory .

Preferred Qualifications

Experience architecting large-scale distributed systems .

Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Prior experience working in Agile / Scrum teams using ADO Boards.

Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
