Housekeeping Coordinator

The Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is looking for a temporary Housekeeping Coordinator to join our team!

Our 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. We're within one mile of Bryant Park, The Morgan Library, and Rockefeller Center. Take in unobstructed views of Manhattan and the East River skylines. Our historic Ambassador Grill and iconic lobby are both official New York City Interior Landmarks.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a housekeeping coordinator or supervisor, at a similar sized property, OnQ experience, and full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Shift Pattern : Full availability, including nights, weekends and holidays, is needed for this role

Pay Range : $31.08 - $41.44 / hour

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you would be responsible for providing dispatching services and office support to the housekeeping department.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls, respond to guest and team member inquiries and dispatch appropriate service in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Use and maintain the work order system and / or property management system to include, but not limited to, logging and recording all service requests, initiating, dispatching, and closing all work orders and generating associated reports.
  • Ensure vacant / ready rooms are available to the Front Office by coordinating with appropriate Housekeeping and Property Operation team members.
  • Respond to emergency calls and monitor the alarm system.
  • Coordinate office traffic.
  • Perform additional general office duties including, but not limited to, processing paperwork, scheduling team members, processing payroll, conducting inventory and equipment maintenance, and tracking guest comments and feedback, as needed.
