The Insulation Crew Member is responsible for performing high-quality installation of insulation materials used in modular construction. Working individually or as part of a production team, this position installs blanket, blown-in, and spray foam insulation in walls, ceilings, and floors according to work orders, safety procedures, and state codes. This role supports production efficiency, craftsmanship, and overall construction quality in a controlled manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and gather materials needed using purchase orders and blueprintsComplete prep work and install insulation within a controlled environmentEnsure compliance with applicable state codesMaintain inventory, tools, and suppliesMaintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areasFollow all safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)Support a cooperative and respectful work environmentPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & Experience
Proficient knowledge of insulation materials, machinery, industry standards, and codesAbility to operate insulation machines to ensure proper material flow, depth, and densityAbility to read and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, and work ordersAbility to use both manual and power toolsAbility to perform overhead physical work for extended periodsAbility to use mathematics and measuring devices to calculate length, width, height, and depthAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to lift up to 80 pounds comfortably and consistentlyHigh school diploma or equivalentValid drivers licenseWork Environment & Physical Requirements
Exposure to moving mechanical parts; noise levels may be moderateOccasional work in manufacturing areas where safety glasses and hearing protection may be requiredAbility to lift and carry up to 80 poundsFrequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and performing physical laborRequires manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and stamina for extended physical activityMust be able to work in a climate-controlled production environmentSchedule
