Distribution Technician

Brooksource is hiring a

• Distribution Field Technician
• to support our
• Power Distribution Engineering
• team. This role involves field inspections, data collection, work order preparation, and storm damage assessments for overhead (OH) and underground (UG) electrical distribution systems.
• Responsibilities
• Inspect overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities.
• Collect and document field data.
• Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports.
• Assist with storm damage assessments in and out of state.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies.
• Qualifications & Preferred Experience
• Education :
• High school diploma required.
• Associates Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience :
• Entry-level candidates welcome.
• 1+ years of experience in
• electric utilities, power distribution, or telecommunications
• preferred.
• Technical Skills :
• National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
• knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in
• Microsoft Office
• and
• engineering software
• (e.g., GIS, CAD, or similar tools) is a plus.
• Experience with
• AutoCAD, GIS mapping software, or electrical design tools
• preferred.
• Other Requirements :
• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to travel overnight as needed.

Job Type : Temp-to-hire

Pay : $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Ability to Commute :

• Dayton, OH 45415 (Required)
