As an ADHC Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in promoting health and managing disease through targeted nutritional information and care.
Essential Responsibilities and Job Duties :
- Design and plan menus in collaboration with food services to meet the diverse nutritional needs of clients.
- Conduct engaging in-service presentations to educate clients on the significance of nutrition in health and the vital role of the dietitian.
- Uphold the confidentiality of all client care information to ensure their protection.
- Evaluate clients' nutritional status by adhering to facility and regulatory agency standards, actively participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
- Review medical records to gather essential information for assessing each client's nutritional needs and developing comprehensive nutrition care plans.
- Collaborate with health care professionals, including physicians and nurse practitioners, to devise appropriate nutritional interventions.
- Offer nutritional counseling and education to empower clients in making beneficial changes to their eating habits.
- Coordinate nutritional care services with other members of the interdisciplinary team as part of comprehensive care planning.
- Provide insights on drug-nutrient interactions to optimize client outcomes related to both medication and diet.
- Maintain meticulous records to comply with regulatory agency guidelines, facilitating clients' progress in dietary changes.
- Complete all initial and quarterly assessments promptly in alignment with established timelines.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities such as seminars to stay updated on nutrition trends and issues particularly affecting the HIV / AIDS population.
- Participate in mandatory in-service training sessions covering essential topics such as fire safety, infection control, clinical HIV / AIDS awareness, and client rights.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all relevant client care information to ensure their privacy and protection.
Minimum Education Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Education Requirements :
Master's Degree.
Minimum Licensure / Certification / Registration Requirements :
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN).A valid New York State License.Current CPR / BLS Certification.Salary Range : $53,835.60 to $60,587.80 / annually.
