District Business Manager, Oncology / Hematology - OR / CA

Overview

This district includes Portland, Oakland, Sacramento & San Francisco. We are building our talent pipeline in Oncology / Hematology Sales and are looking for smart, professional and passionate people who want to make a difference in the lives of patients. As part of our Hematology Sales team, you will be part of a growing and dynamic sales organization focused on bringing new and innovative cancer therapies to the market.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of highly motivated sales professionals by articulating a vision for the district that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze performance data, market trends, market access dynamics, and develop strategic business plans to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of BMS Hematology products, the Hematology marketplace, and disease states; coach the team to exemplary selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Grow and develop team members based on their needs, motivation, and business requirements.
  • Foster a continuous learning environment where team members feel challenged and engaged.
  • Lead the group through change while maintaining focus on current and future business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies governing the conduct of BMS.

Who You Work With

The District Business Manager reports to the Regional Business Director and collaborates across a matrix sales organization to address customer needs and achieve sales targets while demonstrating value to customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a district by setting a compelling vision that supports organizational objectives.
  • Analyze data and market conditions to develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Model and coach team to achieve high-level selling skills and product / disease knowledge.
  • Develop and mentor team members to meet business needs and grow professionally.
  • Promote a culture of learning, engagement, and adaptability to change.
  • Maintain compliance with governing laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or related industry experience.
  • Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales or equivalent experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Hematology experience is strongly preferred, including understanding of Hematology reimbursement, access and distribution environment.
  • Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed expectations and goals.
  • Proven ability to select, develop and retain talented individuals.
  • Experience applying analytical skills, selling skills, and developing strong business acumen with knowledge of the market access environment.
  • Compliance with the company’s driver eligibility requirements, including driving age, license, and risk assessments as applicable.
  • Compensation & Benefits

    Compensation : US $174,900 - $211,943. The starting compensation range is listed above for a full-time employee (FTE). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.

    BMS uses a mixed occupancy structure : site-essential, site-by-design (hybrid with at least 50% onsite), field-based, and remote-by-design roles.
