Process Improvement Specialist

When an organization has multiple moving parts in its processes, it can be difficult to critically examine them. To be more efficient and effective, it needs a business process specialist to learn its process end-to-end and provide ways to change for the better. That's why we need you, an experienced business process specialist who knows how to analyze every aspect of your customer's operations and give them the steps to improve their process. As a process improvement specialist on our team, you'll analyze your client's current operating environment and identify areas for improvement. You'll facilitate discussions with leadership, engineers, analysts, and support staff to help refine your client's definition of success and identify current frustrations. You'll design data collection plans, facilitate workshops, and communicate your research and illustrative analysis using root cause analysis, SIPOC charts, fishbone diagrams, trend analysis, future state models, and more to help establish understanding and agreement from key stakeholders. Using lean six sigma and other process improvement tools and methodologies, you'll provide your client with recommendations, along with a firm grasp of the quantitative or qualitative results they can expect. This is your chance to grow experience in a number of capability areas such as cybersecurity, acquisition, fleet readiness, and contracting while deepening your process improvement and project management skills. You Have :

  • 5+ years of experience leading Lean or Six Sigma initiatives
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma process, methods, and tools
  • Knowledge of Theory of Constraints
  • Knowledge of process mapping tools such as Visio or iGrapfx
  • Ability to provide leadership and technical support in project lifecycle management
  • Ability to facilitate and teach process improvement curriculum in small to large audiences
  • Ability to mentor and coach practitioners on business process initiatives
  • Ability to manage complex executive and multi-organizational relationships
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have :

  • Experience conducting process improvement initiatives in Navy organizations
  • Experience deploying LSS across government organizations
  • Knowledge of Navy Acquisition, Logistics, IT, Navy Readiness, and Training Delivery
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
