Job Summary The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining all-expense-related accounts, including accounts payable, expense-related balance sheet accounts, and cost control functions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports internal controls, and collaborates with business unit leaders to optimize costs while maintaining operational efficiency. This position is hybrid, 3 days / week on-site in our Boise Office. Key Responsibilities  Assist with month end and year end closing by preparing necessary journal entries. Prepare periodic flux analysis to identify variances and cost trends.  Work with other members of the accounting team to ensure proper coding and posting of all expense transactions throughout the month. Recommend and implement internal controls and safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for expense-related accounts.  Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Maintain and reconcile debt schedules. Own the monthly expense accrual process to ensure accurate expense recognition per GAAP. Oversight over intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Compile sales tax reconciliation. Provide final approval for vendor payments. Conduct final review of credit card reconciliations.  Meet with business unit leaders to review the findings and recommend strategies to reduce operating expenses and improve profitability.  Other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Minimum 5+ years’ experience in accounting / finance preferably in B2B SaaS Experience with NetSuite Multi-state sales tax experience Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients / customers. Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
