Assembles parts to specification. Builds frame; installs fins, tubes, hardware, and other purchased parts into coil body per specification Correctly labels coils with build day and Mfg #. Moves and repositions coils to the expansion area using cranes. Completes appropriate paperwork to include quality sticker and daily hours. Inspect coils for split collars, dented hairpins and damaged fins. Reworks or disassembles coils that have been damaged or built incorrectly. Utilizes basic hand tools such as pliers, wrenches and hand drills. Trains new or existing employees, if necessary. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Wears all required PPE. Performs other routine duties. Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision. Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety / environmental rules. Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. High School Diploma or Equivalent Education preferred Read and write English Knowledge of company safety policies Able to read Tape measure Prior Machine Operating experience REQUIRED The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
