Inbound Merchandise Receiving Clerk
The responsibilities of the Inbound Merchandise Receiving Clerk will consist of but are not limited to the following :
- Report discrepancies with inbound merchandise and purchase orders including but not limited to, packaging process, ASN issues, carton and / or unit discrepancies, price ticketing, mixing of class / colors and cross-dock issues
- Inspect merchandise to include checking for shortages and rejecting damaged goods
- Communicate and conduct vendor chargebacks
- Maintain and extract information from various databases and spreadsheets to coordinate and plan even deliveries to distribution center
- Proficient software skills with Microsoft Office with intermediate to advance skills with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook (skills testing will be required)
- Knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), TMS (Transportation management system) and YMS (Yard management system)
- Handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications
- Provide feedback to management regarding discrepancies
- Participate in inventory management
- Provide support and assistance with any situation that involves the quality of merchandise
- Facilitate effective exchange of information with employees and management personnel
- Perform safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management
- Coordinate inbound deliveries
- Plan live off loads by day
- Understand and have working knowledge of CTPAT process
- Maintain daily and weekly receiving information in Excel
Skills / Abilities / Experience & Qualifications :
