Job Description
Primary Objective
Managing the financial integrity and reporting of the company. Supporting the company's financial operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) using advanced accounting knowledge, independent judgment, and a proactive approach.Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
General Ledger Management : Maintain accuracy in the company's General Ledger and sub-ledgers, ensuring all financial records are properly documented and align with GAAP, to include, but not limited to, posting all necessary general ledger journals and applying cash receipts.Accounts Receivable Management : Process customer invoices and payments accurately and timely. Monitor outstanding receivables, reconcile customer accounts, and follow up on overdue balances to ensure timely collection and maintain healthy cash flow.Financial Analysis and Reporting : Conduct detailed analysis of monthly financial reports, providing actionable insights to management. Reconcile General Ledger and sub-ledgers monthly to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Audit and Tax Preparation : Lead audit preparation efforts, ensuring all necessary documentation and support are available. Prepare tax filings, including sales & use tax, property tax, and other relevant taxes, to maintain compliance.Accruals and Reconciliations : Prepare and post month-end and year-end accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy in financial reporting.Collaboration with Project Managers : Work closely with project managers to reconcile project financials and optimize profitability.Special Projects and Ad Hoc Analysis : Participate in and lead special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed, contributing valuable financial insights to support organizational objectives.Qualifications
BS Business Administration, Finance or AccountingStrong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.Additional Information
