Job description

Avant Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Commercial Contracts Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and business, focusing on the negotiation, drafting, and management of a wide variety of commercial contracts across several industries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for supporting business objectives through effective legal strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts, including service agreements, licensing agreements, supply agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and compliance issues related to contract terms and business operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contracts align with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Conduct legal research and stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial contracts.
  • Lead contract negotiation meetings, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
  • Develop templates and best practices for commercial agreements to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to non-legal teams on contract management and compliance.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial contracts law, preferably within a corporate or law firm setting.
  • Solid understanding of contract law and experience with technology-related agreements.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management issues related to commercial contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active membership in a state bar association.
