AIM Heat Exchangers, a family-owned manufacturer of custom shell and tube heat exchangers seeks a full-time Machinist / Lathe Operator to work 1st shift.
Job Summary : Set up and operate a variety of equipment to machine parts according to specifications. Perform a variety of operations in the machine shop.
Essential Duties :
- Set up and operate machines such as lathes, drills, saws, and mills
- Primary duty will be lathe operator
- Read blueprints to determine product specifications and material needed
- Perform all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards
- Marking machined parts with heat numbers for material traceability
- Communicate with co-workers and supervisors to receive instructions and coordinate activities
- Follow all safety procedures
- Drive a forklift to transport material
- Operate overhead crane
- Perform minor machine repair such as oiling or cleaning machines
- Other duties as assigned
