Position Summary

As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for developing creative reliable sustainable functional and economical landscape designs for our diverse group of clients. As part of our integrated design teams the Landscape Architect creates site designs that are integrally developed with the architecture and site engineering with the goal of elevating the human experience through design.

The Successful Candidate Will

Manage operations execution and expectations for the Landscape Architecture Discipline in California.

Develop communicate and update operations plans to include information such as objectives schedules funding and staffing.

Direct or coordinate activities of personnel vendors and consultants.

Assign duties responsibilities and projects to personnel.

Schedule facilitate and document meetings with staff and clients related to overall operations.

Participate in the development and negotiation of contracts as well as service change request; and initiate review or approve modifications to plans.

Partner with sector and practice leadership to perform all personnel functions such as selection training and evaluation of personnel.

Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process.

Actively engage in community and / or industry specific organization that will build the DLR Group brand.

Maintain industry leading workplace design practices to drive operating unit and culture towards a great place to work status.

Properly balance staffing and workload to achieve profit and revenue growth goals.

Develop Site and Landscape related specifications.

Conduct site visits when needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.

10-20 years of professional experience.

Prior experience in leading mentoring and managing staff.

Experience in proposal preparation.

Experience with specification writing construction administration multi discipline coordination scheduling and management of multiple projects.

Experience and interest in preparing sustainable and low-impact landscape planting and irrigation designs.

Experience in preparing site grading site development and site detailing.

Experience in Construction Document preparation for site development.

Preferred Qualifications

Site Master Planning experience preferred.

The suggested pay range for this position is :

Pay Range

$93,000 - $144,000 USD
