Job description

A law firm seeks a Trademark Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trademark clearance and prosecution, both domestically and globally, and will be familiar with reviewing creative assets for compliance with advertising laws.

Duties

Conduct trademark clearance and prosecution work.
Review creative assets for compliance with FTC and other advertising laws.
Engage in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Litigate trademark infringement and false advertising claims in federal court.

Requirements

4-6 years of relevant experience.

Experience in trademark clearance and prosecution.

Familiarity with advertising law compliance.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

Proficiency in Spanish preferred.

Experience in the restaurant, software, life sciences, and / or consumer packaged goods industries is desirable.
