Description:
FindTalent is partnering with a well-established infrastructure contractor specializing in power delivery solutions to find an experienced T&D Estimator. This role is pivotal in supporting the successful execution of projects ranging from transmission line installations to distribution networks and emergency response services. As a T&D Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates, working closely with internal teams and external partners to secure project opportunities. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze bid documents, technical drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost proposals.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely bid submissions.

• Collaborate with project management and operations teams to align cost estimates with project goals and strategies.

• Maintain detailed records of all estimate assumptions, methodologies, and pricing structures.

• Assist in identifying project risks and develop contingency strategies to mitigate them.

• Participate in bid review meetings and present estimate findings to leadership.

• Support the continuous refinement of estimating practices and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Keep abreast of industry developments, market conditions, and pricing trends relevant to the power delivery sector.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimating team members when necessary.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Strong experience in estimating for transmission and distribution (T&D) projects.

• Solid understanding of the construction industry, particularly utility infrastructure.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical thinking.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams.

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Experience/Education

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in T&D estimating, or closely related field.

• Prior experience in construction estimating preferred.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as per company policy.
