Overview
Exciting opportunity to serve veterans through a VA government contract in Rhode Island. Physicians will provide primarily outpatient Hematology / Oncology care with light inpatient consults and shared call.
Practice Highlights
Mostly outpatient practice (approx. 99.9% outpatient, minimal inpatient)
Patient panel : 250 per FTE
Average 10 patients / day including consults
Call is shared with VA-employed physicians (phone calls, e-consults)
VA support staff includes : fellow, nurse navigator, nurse practitioner, chemotherapy nursing staff
EMR : CPRS
Credentialing timeline : 1 month
Security clearance completed after start
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology / Oncology Required
Active, unrestricted US Medical License Required
US Citizens, Green Card holders, and Canadians permitted
Prior VA / government experience a plus
Must be eligible for VA privileges and clearance
Schedule & Coverage
Full-time, 40 hrs / week
On-site coverage during clinic hours
Shared call coverage (weeknight, weekend, and holiday)
