Job descriptionMust be a U.S. Citizen Aged 17 to 34 Hold a High School Diploma or GED Meet specific tattoo guidelines No major law violations or medical concerns Available certifications include 42 nationally recognized options Basic training is 10 weeks Advanced individual training ranges from 5 to 20 weeks The Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) requires an 85 or above score for active duty personnel A minimum ASVAB Score of 101 : Skilled Technical (ST) may allow bypassing the DLAB with an ST score of 129 or above Education at the Defense Foreign Language Institute is required for 36-64 weeks if the soldier is not fluent in a foreign language
