IT & Classroom Technology Support Technician

Location : Cambridge, MA (On-site)

We are seeking a well-presented, customer-focused IT & Classroom Technology Support Technician with a strong passion for technology. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced academic environment, enjoys troubleshooting, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You will be the first point of contact for classroom technology issues, ensuring faculty, staff, and students have a seamless experience.

• Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience Level : Entry-level professional with 1-3 years of experience in IT or AV support, preferably in a high-level educational or corporate setting

Professionalism : Well-presented, articulate, and confident when interacting with faculty or executives

Technical Skills : Familiarity with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, including basic troubleshooting and meeting setup

Soft Skills : Strong communication, customer service orientation, and ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail

Additional Plus : Comfort with general AV or IT support tasks (not required but beneficial)

• Primary Responsibilities

Provide first-level support for classroom technology, including AV systems, displays, and conferencing platforms such as Zoom Rooms

Assist users with equipment operation, connectivity, and troubleshooting

Monitor system health and escalate recurring issues to internal teams and vendor partners

Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on classroom technology

Maintain clean, organized, and functional technology spaces

• Schedule

Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6 : 00 AM and 6 : 00 PM (coverage may vary within this window). Occasional Saturday support for live events as needed.

• Qualifications

Required :

IT support experience, including hardware and software troubleshooting

Strong communication skills and polished, professional presence

Customer-first mindset and ability to work independently

Interest in AV technology and willingness to learn

Preferred :

Experience supporting classroom or corporate technology environments

Familiarity with conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams) and AV health checks

Pay is based on experience.
