Job Description: Will serve as a Senior Lab Manager at the U.S. Navy Small Boat Waterfront Operations facility located at Naval Base Norfolk. The Senior Lab Manager will be responsible for managing the watercraft metrology and general calibration lab and overseeing the inspection, testing and calibration of electronic test equipment, instrumentation, and sensors.

Required Education: Be a graduate of a trade school or an Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, or a High School diploma with five (5) additional years of relevant experience.

Required Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in test and evaluation of small watercraft and metrology and general calibration including:

• Experience with instrumentation systems and sensors employed by test and evaluation engineers.
• Experience with basic engineering principles, including statics and dynamics, materials, electrical/electronic theory, naval architecture, and statistics.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and database management software.
• Fabricating/assembling data acquisition from base level drawings and concepts.

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities.
