Job description

Position Overview

Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
Inspect, assemble, and package instruments for surgical procedures
Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of sterile supplies
Operate sterilization equipment and perform routine maintenance checks
Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to support patient care

Job Requirements

Required Credentials

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in sterile processing or central sterile services preferred

Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in sterile processing (CSPDT or equivalent) preferred but not required

Experience in a hospital or surgical setting a plus

Experience

Previous experience in central sterile or related field preferred
