Senior Construction Project Manager (Westlake)

Role Description

GPI is hiring a Construction Manager for our design-build firm in Westlake, OH.

This role involves in-field project management, client communication, coordination with contract requirements, field conditions, project schedules, and travel to jobsites across the U.S.

Hands-on construction experience is required.

Requirements :

• 3+ years of of progressive construction project management experience, ideally overseeing mid-to-large scale commercial or institutional projects.
• Preferred background in construction field work, carpentry, electrical, or stone masonry.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications :

Understanding of the construction process in commercial builds and experience handling written and verbal communication with clients

Own projects end-to-endfrom strategic planning through on-site execution to punch-list close-out

Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and contractual requirements

Ability to manage multiple project schedules in various phases, from design through material ordering through installation

Interpret and act on construction drawings, benchmarks, and specifications accurately

Mentor crews, subcontractors, and junior staff, fostering a respectful, collaborative environment

Thrives in a small team environment where each member bears significant responsibility

Ability to work independently with little direction

Extremely detail-oriented and organized

Ability to travel for 2 week durations at a time
