Tech Foundrys Data Management Analyst has a critical role in Tech Foundrys operations, including overseeing data-intensive projects, data aggregation, tracking, evaluation, and reporting (grants, dashboards, narratives), and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. By building and managing strong data systems and projects, the Data Management Analyst will provide critical support to to operational, fundraising and reporting efforts. - Evaluation of organizational, grant-reporting, and departmental needs and processes related to systems and data, gathering requirements, researching, and partnering with departments to implement and test the deployment of systems and solutions to improve business processes at Tech Foundry
- Working with the technical and operational staff to maintain software, databases, and reporting processes.
- In collaboration with a Data Consultant and Tech Foundry staff, create and maintain a data culture including an integrated data system to : identify the data needs of the organization; support data processes, tracking and evaluation; and considering policies and best practices as well as the use of emerging technologies.
- Development and maintenance of a high-level understanding of overall system processing, relationships and reporting aspects of core database applications while guarding and protecting Tech Foundrys data integrity and ensuring database applications to produce consistent, reliable, reusable data.
- Trouble-shooting errors and problems, supporting report creation and cross system file imports / exports for all departments using advanced database tools and complex query statements when needed.
- Assisting departments in taking ownership of their data needs andevaluation to drive continuous improvement.
- Overseeing : requirement gathering, the identification of software solutions (in collaboration with data consultant), report-writing and analysis, workflow / process maps, documentation, and implementation of data-heavy projects.
Required skills and experience
2-5+ years proven experience as a data analyst or business / systems analyst(or equivalent mix of education and experience).Demonstrated track record of eliciting requirements and testing.Proven experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions.Ability to set and revise procedures while facilitating buy-in from stakeholders including a willingness to learn about the various work of the Tech Foundry, staff and business needs across all Departments.Proficiency in document writing for systems, procedures as well as technical documentation.Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills along with facilitation, prioritization, and scope management.Demonstrated capacity to frame complex situations and present options.Robust collaboration and problem-solving skills to support operational best practices.Adept at query creation, report writing and presenting findings.Enthusiasm for Tech Foundrys mission, can-do attitude, team-orientation, and commitment to DEIB priorities.Preferred skills and experience
Experience in generating process documentationand disseminating / monitoring use of identified processes throughout the organization.Project management of software implementations, or other complex initiatives.Proven experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, direct experience with database application configuration.HTML or other software coding skills.Experience with Monday, Salesforce, and / or other customizable CRM systems.Bachelors or advanced degree.Bilingual skills.Candidates from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
