United Hospice, Inc. is a community-based, not-for-profit hospice that provides care and support to patients and their families. We envision a community in which all individuals and their loved ones facing serious illness retain their dignity and hope while receiving the best care and support that hospice has to offer. We are currently Looking for NYS Certified HHAs to work in the community.

The rate for this position is $18.10 / hr. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Qualifications :

• Certified as a NYS home health aide; must maintain certification by annually completing 12 hours of approved continuing in-service training and education
• Working knowledge of basic first aid
• Basic understanding and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
• Ability to work as a team member and use supervision effectively
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning patient and family information
• Ability to relate to a diverse population and workforce in a personable and effective manner
• Ability to understand verbal and written directions
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally with patients, families and staff; able to write and document as needed
• Must be proficient using a computer and email; MS Office proficiency; may require data entry into the EMR system
• Must have access to a vehicle to drive from patient to patient on a daily basis

Physical Requirements :

Responsibilities will include, though not be limited to :

Attends twelve (12) hours of documented training annually that may come from any acceptable source
